Shipping policy
Definitions
- Store: Porte&Door — an online store located in the Montreal region, Canada, specializing in selling interior doors.
- Customer: An individual or legal entity placing an order to purchase products from Porte&Door.
- Delivery: Transportation of goods to the entrance of an apartment building, a private house, a commercial building, or a construction site, performed by our delivery service, without moving goods inside or up/down floors.
- Self-Pickup: The option for the customer to pick up their order from our warehouse or a designated pickup location.
- Delivery Zones: Postal areas where Porte&Door delivers, defined by specific postal codes.
- Delivery Fee: The cost of delivery, determined at checkout based on the destination postal code and corresponding delivery zone.
- Non-Delivery Zone: Postal codes not included in the list of delivery zones where Porte&Door does not deliver.
- Production Time: The time required for manufacturing and preparing the product for shipment, which is not included in the delivery time.
At Porte&Door, we aim to ensure safe and timely delivery of our products, specializing in interior doors, directly to our customers. To maintain the highest quality standards, delivery is carried out exclusively by our own service within specific delivery zones.
Delivery Zones and Postal Codes
We currently offer delivery to a limited number of postal codes in Canada. If your postal code is not within our delivery zones, we recommend contacting us to discuss the possibility of delivering your order on an individual basis. We also encourage you to check if your address is within our delivery zone before placing an order. The full list of postal codes and delivery rates can be viewed on the Shipping page.
Delivery Fee
The cost of delivery is calculated at checkout based on the destination postal code and the applicable delivery zone. Each zone has its own delivery rate. The final delivery cost will be displayed in the total order amount before confirmation.Please note: Taxes and fees may be added separately and will be shown at checkout.
Production Time
As our products are made to order, once the order is placed and paid for, it requires time for production. Production times can vary from 3 to 30 business days, depending on the complexity, quantity of items, and production load. This time is not included in the delivery timeframe, which is calculated separately.
Delivery Timeframe
Estimated delivery times range from 3 to 14 business days after production is completed, depending on the delivery zone and product availability. During holidays or peak periods, delivery times may be extended. We provide customers with order status updates via email, including shipping information and an estimated delivery date.
Delivery Conditions
- Our delivery service will transport your order to the entrance of an apartment building, private house, commercial building, or construction site. We do not provide services to move goods inside buildings, up floors, or down into basements.
- If the delivery address is inaccessible or outside our delivery zones, we reserve the right to cancel the delivery and notify the customer.
- Please note, delivery to remote or hard-to-reach areas may incur additional costs or take longer. Please verify this when placing your order.
Self-Pickup
If your postal code is outside our delivery zones or if you prefer, you can choose the self-pickup option at checkout. Once your order is ready, you will receive instructions on how to collect your items from our warehouse or pickup location. The exact address and business hours of the pickup point will be provided in the notification.
Returns and Exchanges
Returns or exchanges are only possible under the following conditions:
- The product has clear manufacturing defects;
- The product is not custom-made;
- The product shows no signs of installation;
- The product has no physical damage;
- The product is in its original manufacturer’s packaging.
If you wish to return or exchange a product, please contact our support service. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the product is unused and in its original packaging.
Notifications and Tracking
We send order status notifications via email. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information (if applicable).
Non-Delivery Zones
If your postal code is not within our delivery zones, please contact our support service to discuss the matter on an individual basis. If a valid postal code is not provided at checkout, delivery may be delayed, canceled, or incur higher fees. We recommend contacting our support team if you have any questions regarding delivery availability in your region.
Data Privacy
We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and are committed to protecting your data. All information provided during the order process is used exclusively for completing delivery and is not shared with third parties.
